The suites float between river and sky. Expansive glass, earthy tones and natural textures bring the landscape inside, and the lodge is built of glass, wood, steel and layered fabrics in muted shades. Birds and monkeys move through the canopy and antelope graze across the property.
There are thirteen Lebombo Suites with views across the wilderness, two two-bedroom suites with private plunge pools and river views, and a four-bedroom villa with a private swimming pool, lounge, dining room and deck. The suites open onto raised wooden viewing decks, where guests may sleep out with only mosquito netting between them and the stars. Children aged ten and over are welcome in all suites and younger children in the two-bedroom suites and the villa.
At the Long Bar the light shifts through the afternoon, and the Winter Lounge is lit by firelight. The Wine Studio offers tastings and pairings of South African cultivars, and the lodge has a Premier Wine Boutique and a dining room, a deck and a firepit. The Conservation Lounge and Gallery of Treasures holds artworks and objects found in the landscape, made with local artists and communities.
A swimming pool sits in the main lodge area, and there are spa and fitness facilities. Guides lead walks and game drives. The lodge is supported by the Singita Lowveld Trust, set up in 2006 to look after Singita's concessions across the Greater Kruger region.
It suits couples, families who would take the villa, and travellers who want a modern lodge with a long view.
